LAKE ARTHUR LILY PAD KIDS’ ACTIVITIES

A Weekend Packed with Family-Friendly Activities

Regatta 2022 hosted more kids’ activities than ever before! In addition to the recreation opportunities on site, there were multiple programs throughout the Regatta weekend. Scores brought their littles to the Lake Arthur Lily Pad for a variety of activities which were all FREE. Attendees also learned about native animals with games and displays from volunteers at Specialty Outdoors. Home Depot and Lowes taught kids how to put together a kit like a birdhouse or another small project, with kits and tools all provided. It’s also a great opportunity to learn about Wildlife with Stormy Oaks Nature Conservancy. Kids’ can try out fishing with our volunteers, where we have a special permit — fishing licenses aren’t required. Kids who caught their first fish at the Regatta received a special certificate.

In addition to all of the above activities, there were a few specific vendors who had kids’ activities for a small fee, like the barrel train or the face painter. Kids always love the variety of frozen desserts on site, and the beach is open for swimming and playing in the sand.

Lake Arthur has something for all ages at the Moraine State Park Regatta.

I have to tell you how much my husband and I enjoyed ourselves. Everything seemed to flow well and was enjoyable. Our kids are grown, so we talked about how much they would have enjoyed different activities at 6 or 16, and talked about “next year” and what the gr-nieces would want to do.
