A Weekend Packed with Family-Friendly Activities

Regatta 2022 will host more kids’ activities than ever before! In addition to the recreation opportunities on site, there are multiple programs throughout Regatta weekend. Bring the littles to the Lake Arthur Lily Pad for a variety of activities which are all FREE. Learn about native animals with games and displays from volunteers at Specialty Outdoors. Join Home Depot (Friday and Saturday) or Lowes (Sunday) to put together a kit like a birdhouse or another small project. Kits and tools are all provided. Learn about Wildlife with Stormy Oaks Nature Conservancy. Try out kids’ fishing with our volunteers, where we have a special permit, and fishing licenses aren’t required. Kids who catch their first fish at the Regatta receive a special certificate.

In addition to all of the above activities, there are a few specific vendors who have kids’ activities for a small fee, like the barrel train or the face painter. Kids will love the variety of frozen desserts on site, and the beach is open for swimming and playing in the sand.

Bring the littles to Lake Arthur, where there’s something for all ages at the Moraine State Park Regatta. Refer to the event schedule and site map here.

I have to tell you how much my husband and I enjoyed ourselves. Everything seemed to flow well and was enjoyable. Our kids are grown, so we talked about how much they would have enjoyed different activities at 6 or 16, and talked about “next year” and what the gr-nieces would want to do.
