Event focused on eco-recreation to celebrate 50+1 years of Moraine State Park
Portersville, PA — The Moraine State Park Regatta is scheduled for August 6-8, 2021.
This year’s Regatta will look different from past years, as event organizers decided to refresh the event with a renewed focus on eco-recreation and promoting Moraine State Park. At a time when people are staying close to home and enjoying the outdoors even more with their families, the Regatta’s goal is to give people from all over the region an opportunity to try different forms of outdoor recreational activities at the park.
Event organizers are planning to follow all local, state and federal Covid-19 mitigation requirements and recommendations.
Some planned highlights of the event include sailing races, vendor marketplace, 5k trail race, stand up paddleboarding, kayaking, fishing, eco-tours, children’s activities and a butterfly release.

The 2020 event was intended to be a celebration of Moraine State Park’s 50th Anniversary, but was cancelled due to the global pandemic. We are excited to celebrate this year as 50+1!
About Moraine State Park Regatta: The Moraine State Park Regatta is the region’s premiere, family-friendly, free eco-recreational event. The purpose is to promote Moraine State Park. Located on the south shore of Lake Arthur, and formerly called Regatta at Lake Arthur, the event is free to attend.
